Our aim
We aim to empower physiotherapists to develop and consolidate their clinical skills and knowledge to confidently optimise management of the dizzy or unsteady older person.
Dr Ann Rahmann, PhD, FACP
Ann is passionate about the role of physiotherapy in optimising function for older adults. Ann completed her PhD investigating aquatic physiotherapy after joint replacement surgery in 2012.
She currently works clinically three days a week with a public health Community Rehabilitation Team and she works two days a week as the research coordinator in the organisation’s Innovation and Research team.
Ann is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists in the field of Gerontology and an Honorary Fellow in the School of Allied Health, Australian Catholic University. She is one of the four faculty teaching with Vestibular Education Australia (VEA), and she also teaches courses with Dr Katrina Williams (NAVE) and for the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
Her clinical and research interests include optimising rehabilitation outcomes including the transition back to home, and the assessment and management of older people with vestibular and balance dysfunction.
